Our origin
GRYPH is built on strong values that guide every decision we make. Our purpose is to improve the mental and physical health of our communities through sport and outdoor activity.
The brand is rooted in the legacy of YUL-RUN, formerly known as YUL, itself born from its parent company, MATH Sport Canada, founded in 2014. GRYPH benefits directly from this experience: our products have been tested for years by runners and walkers in real conditions.
Our commitment remains unchanged — to make every journey as comfortable, reliable, and enjoyable as possible.

From the beginning, environmental responsibility has been a concrete commitment, not a statement. Under YUL-RUN, our organization implemented leading practices across every step of production and distribution to reduce our ecological footprint — a philosophy that continues fully under GRYPH.
Our products stand out for their durability, helping reduce overconsumption. We favor sustainable materials, minimize the use of plastic, and operate on a pre-order model designed to eliminate waste and overproduction.

Our story
The sportswear industry has long been driven by constant factory relocation in search of lower costs. From the start, this approach never aligned with our values. Loyalty, transparency, and long-term thinking have always guided our decisions.
Early on, we contributed to the revival of a shoe factory that had been abruptly abandoned by one of our competitors. Led by a former quality inspector for a major brand and the factory’s head chemist, the team rebuilt the operation from the ground up, rehiring the workers who had been left without jobs and creating an independent manufacturing facility.
These were exactly the kind of partners we were looking for. We believe in long-term alliances that are fair and beneficial for everyone involved. Today, more than six years later, this relationship remains a cornerstone of our development. The factory continues to support our projects with consistency, expertise, and a shared commitment to quality and innovation.
